Curved Steel Stone House

Is it nice? ▲ Upvote it

Nestled against Kobe’s twilight hills, the residence emerges as a single, sinuous gesture of corten steel and charcoal slate, its curved volumes rising and folding like the contours of the surrounding terrain. Rough-hewn stone plinths anchor the form to the earth, while the weathering steel skin absorbs and reflects the deepening amber of the sunset, giving the façade a living patina that shifts with every passing moment. The composition is at once industrial in its material honesty and maximalist in its sculptural exuberance, a continuous silhouette that reads as both monolithic and intricately layered against the fading Japanese sky.
